Managing DiversityAt a time when resources are stretched to the limit, organizations must fully tap the skills and abilities of every employee. To do so, they must first recognize and understand diversity, and understand how it can affect communication and teamwork. Once they understand the reality and impact of diversity in the workplace, they can learn how to overcome the differences and divisions that sometimes arise from it. They can help the organization meet its legal requirements to provide an environment free of illegal harassment. More than this, they can begin to use diversity positively, as a competitive advantage that actually enhances business productivity and creativity.

Program Description

This module will give participants an opportunity to recognize the positive value of having a diverse workforce. Participants will explore their differences, discuss the value of respecting these differences, and learn how these differences can actually enhance their ability to serve customers. 

Participants will concentrate on developing techniques for managing a diverse workforce, in order to maximize their resources, strengthen teamwork, and fully capitalize on the backgrounds and experiences of each employee.
